DiMo-NEXT @FFG-Innovationscamp “Alpine Safety”, 13.11. – 14.11.24

We organized two modules as part of the FFG Innovation Camp ALPINE SAFETY at the University of Innsbruck and offered exciting insights into future-oriented developments in mountain and sports technology. We presented innovative concepts, including on-body sensor networks, the use of smart textiles, the intelligent use of motion data and the consideration of psychophysiological influencing factors. Furthermore we gave an overview of sensors in sport and the development of prototypes, including the PyzoFlex Ski, the Connected Boot, the sonification of movements and the ski tip display. Wintersteiger offered in-depth insights into boot fitting (BootDoc) for more comfort and safety. Lukas Ernst, from the innovative start-up Qwicklane, presented the world’s first ski touring binding with electric height adjustment of the climbing aids.
